This company is starting to become one of my favourite low cost tactical gear producers!TMC put a lot of attention to detail into their really reasonably priced gear, making them comfortable, effective and quiet durable for the price.I really enjoyed wearing these gloves, and had no problems wearing them for 2 days of rough play. I dragged them through the dirt and soaked them in man sweat like a Neanderthal with his newly-wed would. They survived, kept me protected and saved my hands from otherwise definite blistering. Although the knuckle protection isn’t made of real carbon fibre, not that its expected, it offered great protection from projectiles and scrapes.
Materials and quality
These gloves are made from a variety of good quality materials such as neoprene on finger and thumb joints and the wrist for flexibility and durability.
Tan vinyl leather covers the back of your hands where the knuckle protection with soft internal padding and rubber air inlets are all properly embedded and sewn in between the linings.
Upper part of the back hand and fingers its soft woven tan breathable fabric. These fabric layers are not backed by a second lining to help with evaporating any sweat and airflow through the inlets.
Between the fingers and on the wrist joint, is light small gauge black mesh material for more ventilation and flexibility. The palm of your hand is covered by very durable suede leather imitation with light rubberised random lines on the index and middle fingers.
The Velcro on the strap is of very good quality with dense and thick loops and low profile hooks to ensure they will stick and fit any wrist. The straps are faced with a thick rubber for easy grip and the TMC logo. Finally you got a triangular shaped knobbly rubber bit for grip when putting the gloves on.
As you can see they really paid attention to detail. There are some minor problems I came across like a rip in the seam at the adductor muscle where three different materials meet. Its always tough working with so many materials on a small piece like a glove and TMC have done a good job at it. They are based on the Oakley Factory Pilot gloves which cost around $130 so they are a good choice and great value for money at around £15 in the UK.
